Eptam Precision Solutions (Northfield, NH), a portfolio company of New Heritage Capital, announced today that it has acquired Micro Molding Inc. and MedConnection LLC, a supplier of plastic injection molding and catheter tipping services based in Phillipsburg, NJ. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Micro Molding provides plastic components primarily to the medical device market and has deep expertise in precision injection molding, catheter tipping, finishing and assembly. The company boasts multi-decade relationships with some of the world’s leading medical device companies, said the news release. Micro Molding operates out of two ISO 9001–certified facilities totaling more than 36,000 square feet.
“The acquisition of Micro Molding is the ideal strategic addition for Eptam,” said Eptam CEO Dana Waterman. “The company’s plastic injection molding capabilities perfectly complement Eptam’s plastic and metal machining capabilities, broadening our one-stop-shop solution for our key blue-chip customers. We are delighted to be partnering with Micro Molding and their team,” said Waterman.
Founded in 1981, Eptam’s proprietary manufacturing capabilities provide high-quality, tight-tolerance machined and injection molded parts for mission-critical applications. In addition to the medical device sector, it serves the aerospace, defense and semiconductor industries.
